Training /Psycho-education

This service is for Autistic and ADHD people or people working with or supporting neurodivergent people.

Parents are the experts on their own neuro-diverse children, even if there is little formal understanding of Autism or ADHD. Parents know how their children react, what their preferences are, what situations will trigger them and how to protect them. Children's behaviours by themselves do not reveal the underlying psychological or sensory causes and we can provide this information so that parents know where their children are heading psychologically as they develop. This will explain their current thinking and interaction style.

ND Partnerships provide parent support and formal group training on Autism and ADHD in both educational and workplace settings.

Post diagnostic support

This service is for anyone newly diagnosed with Autism and/or ADHD or parents of newly diagnosed children.

After receiving a diagnosis that makes sense, it is most important to start a process of developing a positive identity as an autistic/ADHD person, which increases self-understanding, commonly reduces anxiety and improves overall quality of life.

Autism/ADHD screening

This service is for adults who think that they may be neurodivergent or parents of children who may be neurodivergent.

Consultations

This service is for anyone seeking more support or guidance with regards Autism and/or ADHD.

We provide an opportunity for both neurodivergent and neurotypical people to have a full discussion regarding autism and ADHD characteristics,  strategies to help at home, school, further education and the workplace or any other related issues. All our services involve a period of time where we listen to concerns and offer opinions, advice and guidance, but if this is all that is required, then a consultation is available as a one-off meeting.

Reasonable adjustments report

This service is for neurodivergent people seeking support at work or at school.

The Equality Act 2010 protects people from discrimination because they are different and supports their rights. We write a report detailing how the individual should be treated differently because of their neurodivergence. We specify the actions that must be taken in response to the various triggers the person experiences in the educational or workplace environment.

EHCP support

This service is for parents who require support for writing or updating EHCP documents or support with advocacy in meetings about EHCPs.

Help with writing, responding and reviewing EHCP documents to ensure they are focused on meeting the needs of the pupil.  EHCPs can be school or parent initiated and reviews are at least annual, unless an urgent issue arises. We can also attend EHCP meetings to support parents to present their views as the experts on their own children.

Employment support

This service is for all employers.

Employ an Autistic person! You would be crazy not to. You don't know what you are missing!

It is a national tragedy that employment amongst Autistic people is so low when they have so much to contribute. Very few people realise the enormous hidden potential lying unrecognised and unused in the working age Autistic population.

Did you know that Autistic people are highly intelligent and natural perfectionists. When performing tasks they have a powerful disposition to work in the most efficient manner to achieve highest possible standards. They also have an extraordinary ability to attend to detail and brilliant memory for all information regarding their role and more; and to cap it all, they work this way entirely consistently. What more could you ask for?

If you are interested in learning more about how to successfully employ Autistic people, please contact us.

Structured observations and report

This service is for parents of neurodivergent children or children on the pathway to a diagnosis.

In situations where independent professional evidence is required, we can arrange to make structured observations in different settings and provide a report that will describe the signs of neurodevelopmental conditions.
