It is not widely understood yet that autism is a psychology rather than a collection of behaviours. Our vision is to promote the understanding of autistic psychology that enables autistic people to be validated regarding their differences in an accurate and positive manner. In addition, this helps non-autistic people to fully understand how autistic people think and see the world.
Alongside the psychology, every autistic person has a different sensory profile with varying combinations of hyper and hypo sensitivities, which produce aversive, or positive sensory seeking responses, all of which have an impact on daily life.
It is important to realise that just as Autistic people do not have an intuition about neurotypical thinking and social behaviours, the same is true for neurotypical people who do not have any intuition about the same for autistic people. The two brain types do not intuitively understand each other. But because autistic people are in the minority, they are the ones that often suffer considerably from being misunderstood.
